The director of information for the Nigerian Defense, Major General Chris Olukolade has confirmed the rescue of 200 girls and 93 woman, by the Nigeria Army, during a military operation in the Sambisa forest (Bornu State) Nigeria. The Nigeria defence wrote this through it's Twitter account. The information director also told PUNCH correspondent in a telephone conversation.
Chris Olukolade said it hasn't been confirmed if the rescued 200 girls were the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram on the 14th of April 2014.
